PERFORMER DIRECTOR CREATOR
ELENA ZAZANIS is a proud SAG-AFTRA, AEA member with credits in film, new media and commercial/industrial productions, as well as theater, for which she received a lead actress award from Planet Connections. She is a staff actor for legal practice classes, videos and mock trials at Fordham Law School, where she employs her improvisation skills in roles ranging from victim to police officer, and expert witness to criminal.
Elena began her career in performing arts as a singer/songwriter, then gravitated to commercial voice-overs and eventually legit acting. After a long hiatus from singing, she formed the a cappella ensemble "Cabaret Sauvignon" and began performing for corporate, non-profit and municipal events.
Most recently, she wrote and directed "The Red Gucci Bag," which was selected by the Golden Door International Film Festival. Her directing experience extends to "Desperate Hostess," a short film for Wine Spectator Magazine, as well as numerous off-off-Broadway and regional stage productions.
Elena has served on non-profit theater boards in NY and NJ and founded and directed a script development forum in Jersey City for over seven years. She lives in Jersey City with her husband, Paul Fish, who produced "The Red Gucci Bag." She is a wanna-be chef and sommelier and loves barre class and the beach in Asbury Park with family and close friends.
